Brisbane Central

13th September

This morning it was decided for me that I was getting up early and going to play soccer with the kids whilst Tracy went to the gym again. Not quite the same as my plans of sleeping in till 10:30 then cooking up a storm of bacon and eggs on the barby, but nonetheless, off we went and I think I pulled up quite well considering it is the first decent bit of exercise I have done in 5 weeks ( except the bicep curls every night trying to lift my brew).
We then got cleaned up and headed into Brisbane to find the Southbank precinct with another of those amazing free chlorinated lagoons, and to have a look at the markets and festival displays that were keeping the city teeming with people. Only thing I would have to be a bit negative with is that there is zero free parking, and the 3 hours we spent there cost us $25 in car park fees!
It was a little bit cooler today so we mixed up the swimming with watching the street performers and looking around before venturing back.
We had heard about a place called Eat Street Markets where there was supposed to be hundreds of food retailers set up in individual shipping containers, so we set off again for tea. We certainly weren't disappointed.... hundreds of different food stalls from every corner of the world, tons of free parking, and plenty of choices.
Travelling a bit further down to the Gold Coast tomorrow for 5 days of exhausting fun at Wet 'N Wild, Movie World and Sea World, as well as the pool and jumping pillow at the caravan park that are sure to keep the kids occupied for every minute of their day
