Sapphire Beach - still

30th September 2014

Had a wonderfully lazy start to the morning by drifting in and out of sleep till about 9:30, while the kids played quietly on their iPad's and Tracy went for a walk.
We then decided to go and explore a bit, so we went and found the Forest Sky Pier that looks over all of Coffs and the surrounding district. The road up was fascinating in itself in that it basically cut through farmers paddocks full of bananas and avocados, but it was the view that sold the spot. The lookout point was only built a few years ago and is pretty impressive as well. It was at this point we were also informed by 2 of the 3 kids that they had got in the car without their thongs so that limited any thoughts of mountain walks we had, so we (ok, Tracy) decided that the local Woolworths hadn't been christened by our credit card yet, so that was our next task.
The mall was huge and had a great robotic dinosaur display on, so that kept the kids and I entertained for a little while before we went and joined Tracy where I started sneaking as many goodies into the trolley as I could without her noticing, and the kids started fighting about who would be riding in the trolley and who would be pushing them..... For anyone who hasn't been shopping with 3 kids before, let me assure you it CAN be fun ... apparently.

We went and scared the workmen again for a while at the pool after lunch, then headed out for a look at some of the nearby coastal towns. I think we have finally found a playground that has beaten our 3 Ninja Warriors..... but already they are claiming we are going back tomorrow for more practice.
The kids made a fantastic Peacock out of fruit this afternoon.... grapes, berries etc. And devoured it in about 2 minutes!
