Lake Conjola & Ulladulla

20th October 2014

I would love to have a job like a weatherman that can tell the whole country what they think the forecast is going to be, get it completely wrong, and still get paid to do what they do...... It was supposed to be overcast today, with a few morning showers clearing in the afternoon. It drizzled ALL DAY!!!. We headed off down the coast to visit Lake Conjola, as I had heard it was a great little town. It is definitely a quiet holiday place, with lots of rental properties and weekenders in a very tree filled environment. The sort of place that i wish we had close to home... The end of the peninsular turned out to be owned by a caravan park, so we couldn't actually get out to see anything, and besides, it was still drizzling....
We then headed a bit further down the coast to Ulladulla. We found a great place called FunLand which was two floors of arcade style games, ride simulators, slides, dodgems, laser skirmish etc. Most of the games were typical "you are never going to win" style gimmicks, but there were a few Daytona style ones that the boys loved, and we found a couple of 4D simulators that even we adults found pretty awesome ( trying to work out if I can get one for home....)
When we (Tracy and I) decided that we had been there long enough, we dragged the kids out kicking and screaming for lunch. We located a covered area with a few picnic tables that sheltered us from the drizzle ( note to Mr Weatherman.... It is STILL RAINING!!!) and had lunch, then gave in to the gravitational pulling power from the local Woolworths. I have now decided I would rather not be there when the time comes to pay for a weeks groceries (bought every 5th day!), as it appears I need to get a second job to pay for it ( and right about now I am not even in the frame of mind for a 1st job ...let alone a second!).
It had finally stopped raining by the time we got home, and keeping with my tradition, I sat down and had a drink after a long hard day. Ahhhhhh.
