Hyams Beach

18th October 2014

Today the weather was still a bit cool, so we went for a drive to Hyams Beach, which is apparently the home to the whitest sand in Australia. And it didn't let us down. It was so bright that the kids had real trouble opening their eyes (a bit like being in snow on a sunny day), the water was amazingly clear and it  was just a beautiful place to be... Except for the wind!
The kids spent the next hour playing beach soccer and posing for my need to take photos, before we took off and went exploring other nearby towns. On the way back , we broke all our rules of camping and called into the local Coles to buy some necessities (hopefully Woolies don't find out!).
Tomorrow is going to be 29 degrees and minimal wind, so we have already decided it will be a pool day.
