Huskisson

19th October

As expected, today was much warmer, no wind and definitely a pool day. Then I found out we were all going for a 7km walk ( kids on their scooters) into Huskisson and back..... not really how I had planned my day, but considering it will be the 1st real exercise walk I have done in 9 weeks, I thought it wouldn't be such a bad idea after all. The kids found a great playground with a spider net for them to climb which they did for the next hour or so, before we went  clambering out onto another amazingly serene beach and then walking back for lunch, and finally the pool i had been desperately wanting to jump into..... until I did and realised that the solar heating needed more than 4 hours of sun to heat the million litres of water to a pleasant temperature.
I had contemplated walking around the park and selling tickets to our very own whale watching tour where everyone could watch me jumping in, breaching once or twice and then trying desperately to pull myself out of the pool without scraping my belly beyond recognition, but luckily enough for this town, there was only 3 other families in the park today, and they had all gone out!
The next 4 hours were spent lazing by the pool, even when the kids took off for an hour to play on the playground as they were too cold, having a quite drink or 3, and just generally enjoying this amazing weather.
