Rest Day - or not!

18th September

Yeah right.... rest day my @$#!
"Can we go back to Wet N Wild" says one. "Can we go back to Movie World" says the other. "Noooo. I want to go back to Sea World", says the 3rd. "How about we stay here at the caravan park says grumpy tired me.
So the diplomatic Tracy works out a way to go to Movie World for 2-3 hours, then we can spend the afternoon at the pool here at the van park. That means I sort of get what I want, so I am a happy(ish) man. We got to Movie World at opening time and lined up to try and get to be the first on the Scooby Doo Roller Coaster. Apparently the message "No running when we open the gate" only applies to people visiting from South Australia, because our fast paced walk looked like a Hare and Tortoise race as 150 people sprinted past us to get to be there before we even worked out what was happening. None-the-less, we did only have a 5 minute wait and got the ride in nice and early. There was no way that Dylan was going to let me walk past the Bat Wing ride, so we lined up for that again. I reckon it was still hurtling us into the Black Hole at 4 point something G Force, when I could hear Dylan saying " I am not scared at all... can we do it again?" I released my grip on the safety harness and let the blood start flowing through to my fingers again and convinced him that we had the one ride promised, and were only going to go on the Road Runner roller coaster for one ride and then we were going home.
3 more rides on the Coaster later, we headed to the main arena for some WB characters and photos, then actually left as planned to come back to the van park.
We spent the next 3-4 hours in the pool, next to the pool, having a drink by the pool and just generally winding down...... finally.
Packing up tomorrow, having a quick look around Surfers then heading to Banora Point in northern NSW, where we will be catching up with my Auntie Colleen / Uncle Bob, and my cousin Lynnette, hubby Richard and kids Emma & Jacob. We are actually getting the chance to house sit for the week whilst Lyn and family goes away, so will be great to have a bit more space than the caravan..... and a much closer toilet to where we are sleeping, which is going to make those midnight naked toilet runs a whole lot quicker, with less chance of scaring all the local wildlife into the adjoining state.
