Noosa... still

6th September

We headed off this morning to Eumundi for the "famous" Eumundi Markets .
Whilst we were semi interested, it soon became apparent that there is no such thing as a good old fashioned cheap market anymore. There was some interesting stuff, but the prices were a bit ridiculous for a market stall - more suited for a shop in the middle of Sydney's Pitt St. Needless to say, we continued to drag the kids around, looking at everything with the intention of buying nothing, but did break the monotony with the purchase of 3 x 1/2 metre long flavoured liquorice sticks ( sour cola and rainbow.... yuk). After a quick stop at the playground, we came back, had lunch and headed to the pool.
I bailed out not longer after to fulfill my yearning of throwing a lure in and catching a monster Tailor or Flat-Head and headed into Noosa Spit. When I got there, I quickly realised how sheltered our caravan park is, because I was faced with wind gusts up to 40Km/h, but like any one else would do, I grabbed by fishing gear and climbed onto the rocks to pretend I knew what I was doing.
As with most attempts at fishing lately, I spent the next 2 hours throwing half a dozen types of lures into every different section of water I could find, along with a handful of other mad people, to see it get retrieved without a look at from anything other than a pesky Cormorant who was intent on eating it if I wasnt quick enough.
Head down, I went back and started the packing up process, along with a couple of mandatory brews. Tomorrow we are heading down the coast and quite possibly inland a bit, to try and avoid the forecasted showers and wind, Will be heading to Bribie Island for a day to catch up with someone, go to Australia Zoo one day, and visit the Glasshouse mountains...... before moving into Brisbane Central for a few days
